So, how do you sign up? In this blog, we’ll cover exactly how to book the PTE exam – step by step – as well as how to prepare and view your scores.
Book your PTE Academic exam
At PTE Academic, we have test centers in dozens of countries around the world – from Australia to Zimbabwe. So, it’s very likely there’s a test center close to you.
Our exams can be scheduled up to 24 hours in advance, any day of the year. Here’s how to look for availability in your area:
- Go to pearsonpte.com
- Select your destination country from the drop-down menu. It’s the first thing you see when you land on our website
- Select your goal– whether you want to work, study, join a family, or settle there
- Click Book PTE Academic
From here, you’ll be able to search for a test center and find an appointment.
- Select the test center closest to you and click next
- Select the date and time of your exam. You’ll be asked to create (or sign in to) your myPTE account
- Complete your profile. You should also take a moment to read our ID policy, which covers what forms of ID are acceptable to bring with you to the test.
- Review your booking details and submit your order.
A summary of your appointment details will be displayed on myPTE dashboard. You’ll also receive a notification email.

We have lots of materials to help you prepare for PTE Academic. To access the practice tests, simply sign into you’re my PTE account and click “View PTE Academic Practice Test packages.” Read about our preparation packages here.
View and send your score
Once you’ve sat the exam, you’ll get an email notification with your results within 48 hours. You’ll also be able to view your Score Report in your myPTE account via the Activity page.
To support your application, you may need to share your PTE Academic results with your chosen institution. To do this, find the appointment connected to the score you want to send in your myPTE account. Learn more about how to send your score here.
Alternatively, you can share your Score Report Code with your chosen institutions. Remember: institutions do not accept paper or PDF versions of the PTE Academic Score Report.
