Important information for test takers
Before registering, please ensure that you have read and understand the Test Taker Handbook. You must agree with the content of the Handbook when you book a test.
You should be aware of our ID policy:
- ID must be non-expired, government issued ID and contain your name, date of birth (in Roman characters), photograph and signature.
- If you take the test outside your country of citizenship, you must present your passport as ID. Exceptions are listed on pages 10 and 11 of the Test Taker Handbook. If you do not have your passport due to an ongoing visa application, you must request your passport back from the issuing authority to present on the day of your test.
- If you take the test in your country of citizenship, if possible you should present your passport as ID, although national ID cards meeting the above requirements may also be accepted in some circumstances.

If you are worried that you may not be able to meet the ID requirements on test day, please contact Pearson Customer Service for advice. Any test taker unable to meet the requirements will not be allowed to test and will lose their fee.
