Test takers receive scores online, usually within five business days of taking the test. Test takers may then designate where they want to send their scores; unlimited score reports will be included in the test fee.
The PTE Academic Score Report contains highly granular information. It reports three types of scores:
1. An Overall Score reflecting the overall English language ability of a test taker
2. Scores for Communicative Skills including Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing
3. Scores for Enabling Skills including Grammar, Oral Fluency, Pronunciation, Spelling, Vocabulary and Written Discourse
In addition, test takers are offered the opportunity to provide a Personal Introduction. They are not assessed on their performance for the Personal Introduction. This response may provide an additional biometric (a voice print) to allow institutions to compare an applicant’s voice with the voice recorded while taking the test. The Personal Introduction will be available as a digital sound file and will accompany score reports.
